I need some advice on setting up a charity please....I am looking at setting something up that will assist a special needs school, as I have a daughter who has special needs.

The aim will be for the charity to raise funds to run the school, bring awareness to the Community by visiting schools and attending events. There is much more to it, but this is the main aim.

I'm not letting anyone stop me in doing this, but have met someone who said she used to work in the charity sector and advised the funding we raise cannot wholly be used on specific things, such as staff. Now as staff will be of a specialised calibre, it is essential we have enough staff of capabilities to look after the children. Could someone please advise on this?

If anyone can also help in the setting up of a CIO, this would be of most interest.
