How are we all doing?
I know that this is a weird time for everyone, and I don't know about you, but things are even busier than usual for me at the moment! I'm constantly looking for emergency funds, organising applications to go out for projects post-lockdown, talking to funders and donors about what we're doing at this crazy time and a lot of other ad-hoc bits and bobs!
I've found it incredibly inspiring to be part of the charity sector these past few weeks. Seeing the creativity coming out of digital and events teams to move their activity online, seeing how furloughed team members are getting stuck in with volunteering at other charities, their local foodbanks or their local NHS hospital. I'm grateful for our sector at the best of times, and now we're here, in the worst of them, I'm even prouder.
I would be really interested how you're working from home, any tips and tricks that you've picked up over the past couple of weeks. We're all keeping touch on Teams every day for a daily cuppa and a natter, which is very nice!
Also, what are you doing to relax during this stressful time? I've been missing the gym and have been substituting it with trying to get my cardio up by slowly training to be able run 5km without stopping. It means I get to be outside for at least 30 mins a day, but with the downside of having to run!
Hope everyone is doing ok. I've certainly found it a tricky few weeks, especially being relatively new in my job! If anyone ever wants a cuppa over Skype/Zoom let me know!
