How Charities Innovate in Times of Crisis

Aggie Silova Former Community Manager - Your new Community Manager is Rose Cruickshank at CharityConnect Posted 1 year ago

Last week, we hosted a live webinar focusing on all the amazing ways charities have adapted during the Covid-19 crisis. The webinar covered everything from fundraising and volunteer management to donor engagement and service delivery. Needless to say, it was a busy hour! Lots of people tuned in to listen to our amazing panel of speakers; many of whom are facing similar obstacles themselves.
As our first virtual meet-up event, we were absolutely thrilled to be able to jam-pack our panel with three amazing charity professionals, providing a diversity of insight and experience. Our panel included:
  • Carly Shutes, Head of Marketing at FoodCycle
  • Wayne Murray, Strategy Director at Audience Fundraising and Communications Ltd
  • Krystal Lashley-Scrivener, Senior Philanthropy Fundraiser at Action for Children
For those of you who weren't around for the Meetup, feel free to watch the video recording and join a conversation on this thread. 🤩
Following the discussion, we would like to hear your thoughts on the following questions:
  • Many people in the UK remain digitally excluded – how do you keep connected with your vulnerable beneficiaries during times when everything's moving online? How are you addressing this problem in your charity?
  • What steps have you taken to adjust your services to your beneficiaries' needs during Covid-19?
  • How are you keeping your volunteers and supporters engaged?
  • How has your strategy changed since the beginning of the crisis?
