Facilitator Films specializes in filmed dramatizations that enhance educational & training toolkits for communities and businesses. More specifically, we depict warning signs of abuse as seen in the nuanced behaviour of victims and perpetrators and model authentic supportive interventions/behaviour to those witnessing it. For friends, family and co-workers recognising abuse and understanding how best to respond creates a culture of transformative justice. Everyone has a role to play in preventing abuse and stopping its escalation.

As media project director I'm the lead on filmed dramatisations and documentaries for national and provincial programs in Canada such as Make it Our Business (addressing dv when it enters the workplace - "See it. Name it. Check it."), Neighbours, Friends and Families (supportive interventions for victims and perpetrators), Its Not Right (supportive interventions for victims of elder abuse), Understanding Disclosures of Sexual Violence (supportive responses for survivors in police, social services, clinical and university settings) and Risk Assessment & Management (for health care, legal & frontline workers)

I have been collaborating with the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women & Children since 2005. As a result of their national and provincial partnerships I have been able to work with such high profile organisations as the Canadian Labour Congress, Ontario & Quebec governments, Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, Ontario Coalition of Rape Crisis Centres, and the National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly.

Though Facilitator Films is based in Canada, I am based in the UK where I continue to work and expand my skills as a director with therapeutic modalities that enhance my approach to filmed education. As a student of psychodynamic studies I work with perpetrators of domestic violence and through creative techniques help them address their deep rooted issues that cause them to act violently.
