Claire started her career off as a professional dancer, her path has taken a wide variety of twists and turns but always kept her on her toes With degrees in psychology and dance Claire is invested in people particularly in the dynamics between humans connecting as individuals to themselves and the whole around them.
With a passion for travel she has been honoured to experience new ways of living and working while meeting incredible people along the way. All of these experiences have led her on various paths in life, while building on eachother each step of the way.
From growing up in Canada to living in Namibia to packing up life in 2 suitcases to move to London it's been the journey for Claire which has been the most rewarding as each place was an opportunity to recreate and re-understand herself.
Claire is now the Co-Founder and Managing Director for Move the World, a UK registered charity focused on community development and Global Citizenship education in Ghana. Through the development of leadership skills and capabilities in young people, they enable projects and programmes that tackle local community issues. Claire believes Global Citizenship Education is key to facilitating the next generation of global leaders.
Claire also works as the Lead for the Greenlights Project under Greenwich Mencap. She works alongside families within the home to support children with a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD alongside various training and workshops for family members and the greater community.
The charity sector, particularly the small charity sector is Claires passion and drive, it truly encompasses every aspect of her life. She believes that small charities have the ability to reach a smaller subset of society, to build trust and make tangible impact- ultimately creating a bridge to break boundaries.
