I'm the founder of Makerble. I fell in love with charities whilst at university where I launched the Sponsor a Kid for a Quid scheme which won a Channel4 IdeasFactory Award. I then became a Fellow of the RSA and worked for several advertising agencies creating campaigns for well-known national and international brands. All the while I wanted to do something in the charity space. After a spare of volunteering, cofounding the Commission for Youth Social Enterprise and working in charities large and small, I decided to launch Makerble.
Makerble helps charities do more with less. Our website and mobile app enable your frontline staff to track the progress and impact being made across every beneficiary, campaign, project and programme. So far charities using Makerble have seen a 50% reduction in the time spent on data collection and a 100% increase in the impact being achieved on their projects.
Past experience:
Co-founded YTFN.org the youth funding network to mobilise people into their twenties to crowdfund projects by little-known charities in London.
Created Pawprint, an app which calculates a person's impact on the lives of animals based on the food they eat, clothes they wear and places they travel to; in a similar manner to the carbon footprint for your impact on the environment. Partner: World Society for the Protection of Animals - International.
