Keen to hear about other charities TOIL policy for events (Anonymous post 🤫)
Our organisation follows the NJC payscales, however, I cannot find any clear explanations / examples of the kind of tasks, skills, abilities, etc... that would be expected in each scale point.
How are jobs evaluated?
Also, I have been told that the only way to jump onto a higher scale would be to manage staff - what if your role does not require staff management (or your chairty is not financially able to recruit more staff) but the range and scope of your work goes well beyond what you and other on a similar scale point are doing?
Not sure if this is very clear, hopefully some of you will be able to help or direct me to relevant resources....
