I'm Alex McCartan, the Head of Development at Lisieux Trust; a registered charity, that provide residential care homes and supported living properties, to people with learning disabilities and autism.
We also operate a free to use Disability Information Resources Centre, that provides support to the wider community with all manner of disability related enquiries and where we run various community events from.
My role has been introduced to help deliver against the trust's ambitious plans for growth and development and my immediate focus is on re branding the charity, updating our digital assets (website/social media) and putting a clear strategy in place for our marketing and communications.
I will then be turning my attention towards improving accessibility of our existing residential and supported living properties, increasing the number of meaningful activities we provide our residents and tenants and expanding our accommodation based services into surrounding boroughs.
The switch from corporate to charity sector has been a challenge, but I am really enjoying working for a charity that provides such vital support and I have renewed sense of purpose.
