CharityConnect: A guide to wellbeing for comms professionals
Do you ever feel like your job is impacting your mental health?
Working for a charity is hugely rewarding but it can also take its toll. Many of us are motivated by the cause and, with a lack of resources and budgets, we can work beyond our hours to meet deadlines and even expectations. If you work in social media or PR, if can be hard to switch off at the end of the day or on weekends. And what about when a crisis hits?
Together with CharityComms, and supported by Lightful, we've launched a Guide to Wellbeing for Comms Professionals. Although aimed at comms staff, it's really for anyone. In it you'll find advice from experts (Helen and Hannah) on how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental health issues, how to improve wellbeing and mental health and how to build personal resilience. Serena from Alzheimer's Society shares how to build a framework to deal with difficult issues. Hear from GOSH and Sarcoma UK on how they manage wellbeing and what processes they have in place in their organisations to support staff. Lastly, Lara from Time to Change shares how you can support your colleagues.
We hope you'll find it useful!
