Advice on tracking food/clothing/household donations

Hello CharityConnect,
Around the lead up to Christmas, my fundraising team we get a lot of enquiries about what items to donate to our frontline teams, and how and when to donate items. This is from individuals, corporates, and major donors.
We want better management of:
- tracking donation enquiries, including thank you's afterwards
- what’s needed from each frontline team
- what we have received
- what we still want to receive
I will ask within the team whether this can be done on Salesforce.
I also wanted to know if anyone had experience with this and if they had any advice on this.
