Can you claim gift aid on donations that have gone via Totalgiving...

As I see from another thread other people are unable to claim gift aid via TotalGiving.
Having managed to cancel the claim that was in limbo.. I'm now preparing to manually claim.
But then realised I don't hold the gift aid declaration.
I have access to the donors details and they've checked the box. Is that enough? Or do I now have to contact all the donors to get their declarations? 😳
Fortunately we've not been promoting TG - but there's still lot of recurring donations
