Current EDI Project - any suggestions or recommendations?

Hello, I joined a charity shortly after they had started their EDI project. Their final report - on the current state of the charity and recommendations on how to engage/improve - had just been delivered, from the consultant firm, when I joined.
Has anyone been through similar and were there any particular steps you took that had a real impact?
I'd be very interested in any replies.
