This question is from a member of our community that wishes to remain anonymous:
We are not a charity but a social enterprise NPO with three directors. We have a question regarding a potential conflict of interest between the NPO and the business the CEO is running separately as a training school.Â
Is it a conflict of interest if the CEO provides training for Consultants and Trainers who can then offer pro bono work at the Hub that the NPO is running?Â
The two independent directors have met to discuss this. Still, we could do with some insight if anyone can help us gain some clarity, as we do not wish to break company law, have potential complaints or bring the NPO or the CEO into disrepute. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
