Donated items being sold at auction, can we claim Gift Aid?

We've been donated some items which are going to be sold via auction.
Can I claim Gift Aid on the value the items sell for?
For clarity, these aren't going to be offered for auction at a fundraising event or online. We're using an auction house where we'll pay commission on the sale. If that makes sense?!
