Fundraising: Can a CIO run a raffle with a years membership as a prize?

We're thinking of running a raffle which would offer one year's CIO membership as a prize, allowing the winner to excercise the privileges of full CIO member. The excess profits would all go to the CIO funds.
Reading the Gambling Commission stuff we would fall within their guidlines (I know we'd need to register with the local authority).
Are there any implications from the Charities Commission side we need to consider? I'd be interested if any other CIO's have done this....
