Gift Aid and Paypal

We are collecting donations through our website via the PayPal donate button. Does anyone know if these donations are claimed through PayPal or whether we have to claim them through our normal process?

I can run a Paypal report that shows me Gift Aid declarations but are these just the names of people that say we can claim Gift Aid or are they the names of the people Paypal is giving us gift aid for?

We also use paypal checkout on our jotform forms. I'm guessing that this money we have to claim the gift aid for.

I hope this makes sense. Any help or advice would be very appreciated.
