According to the media today certain large charities have said that donors need to stop just giving.items for sale in their shops, They should ask would I buy this? Hello they wouldn't buy it because they are giving it away! and don't take so much now we are opening up. What do they want?
I suggest instead of allowing the big charities to tarnish the charity sectoe we should push to ask donors to stop giving to big charities and give it to small local charities who are grateful for everything they can get.. The big have got too big, fat comfortable and institutionalised and forgotten that without any donation they are dead because the grants etc         and government monies will then dry up with the result that the beneficiaries will suffer. They have lost the plot.
This publicity added to the catalogue of misdeeds connected to them could create a very toxic situation.
So I ask please help focus help to the small local charities where even a small gift will help.
Sorry rant over but I am so cross about the arrogance
