Is there such a thing as a plain and simple guide as to how to register for Gift Aid?
I work for a small registered charity and tried to use the HMRC website, filled in the forms, provided all the documents necessary, but got a rejection letter back from HMRC saying they couldn't register the charity as it was already registered!
I wrote back saying that I was trying to register for Gift Aid not as a charity, but have heard nothing since (over a month ago). I cannot find a contact telephone number, so am a loose end.
Can anyone offer some guidance please?
