How can Christmas appeals inspire long term regular donors?

Individual Giving

Grace Dalton n/a Posted 3 months ago

Apologies for the stupid/audacious question - I've been asked to look into Christmas appeals - and how the public can be inspired to become regular donors going forward. Obviously one off donations spike with the holiday season and the festive initiatives undertaken - but all of our causes need support when the lights and trees are put away.
Can we share experiences/wisdom on this? For instance, do Giving Tuesday drives inspire long term regular donation sign-ups? Do any festive schemes stay in minds long enough for people to start giving regularly when festivities have finished?
