How do you successfully promote an In Memory Tree?

Elisia Crawford In Memory Fundraiser at Keech Hospice Posted 3 days ago

Hello everyone,
My name is Elisia and I’ve recently started as an In Memory Fundraiser at Keech Hospice. We provide free, specialist end‑of‑life care for people of all ages supporting adults across Bedfordshire, and children and their families across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Milton Keynes. Whether at home, in the hospice, or wherever we’re needed, our aim is to be there for people during the most difficult times.
Fundraising is completely new to me, so I’m really keen to learn from this community. Any advice you would offer to someone just starting out would be hugely appreciated!
I’m also particularly interested in hearing from those of you who have an In Memory Tree.
  • What have you found works well in encouraging people to place a leaf or name on the tree?
  • When do you tend to promote it?
  • At what point in the supporter journey do you feel the biggest opportunities are often missed?
  • And if you were starting from scratch again with the experience you have now what would you prioritise differently?
Looking forward to chatting and learning from you all.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!
Thank you,
Elisia
