On May 1st, at 7pm our time (but available on-demand for those who sign up) is a webinar from 'the commercial world'. Everything it will cover is applicable to the work our sector does and how our web sites work ... and they should work as hard as any.
Its title includes references to Landing Pages and conversions (ie donor and supporter acquisition!) but its 'strap line' is this -
Your website has many jobs: to communicate your value proposition, to educate people about your business (charity!), to outline your features and benefits, and to capture your market’s (peoples!) attention. But if it doesn’t generate customers (donors and supporters!), it’s failing your business (charity!)

The lead presenter is Tim Ash. He founded a group called Site Tuners, a group which has now helped thousands and thousands of web sites (the people who own them) become as effective as possible.
Its not just a presentation of 'tips'. Attendees can submit their own web site and those selected will be expertly critiqued live. It would be brave but if any CC member can do this, I'm sure you'll gain from the advice that will be given.

This is all a bit of a science now, where even the slightest tweak can make a huge difference to results - or where a web site is style over substance big changes can be needed. You will see examples of both on May 1st or whenever you can watch the webinar.
