Street/Telephone fundraising as an incentive for the retired and elderly?

Hi All,
I am writing a blog based on our Face to Face and Telephone fundraising page where I have come up with an idea that Street fundraising may be a new incentive for the elderly to give and get back into their community. What are your thoughts on this topic and could you see this as a good thing? I would love to kick-start this conversation!
