What are your experiences with gaining corporate sponsorship?

I am a Trustee of a small mental heath charity, based in Warwickshire. We have an fundraising event coming up that we have 8 brave young people swimming the channel.

We are trying to get some corporate sponsorship, but it's proving difficult. We have a presentation which we've sent to a lot of businesses.

I am interested in knowing from others:
