"Charities are a bit rubbish at Instagram"—do you agree?

Alice Rath Digital Marketer at Freelance Posted 4 years ago

I've worked in the charity sector for 5 years now, as a digital marketer. I really love working in the sector, but I've been getting a bit frustrated recently trying to get charities to utilise their Instagram. I'd love to know if anyone else shares this frustration.
I mainly think this is every social media managers nightmare, not having the time or being told what they need to post. Instagram is such a creative platform, I'd love to see more charities fully utilise it. Some things (in my opinion), charities are failing to get right:
  • The aesthetic
  • Utilising stories regularly (every 24 hrs)
  • Using new features (IGTV and reels)
