I'm wondering what everyone’s feeling about business networking groups. I understand that charities can benefit from networking, just like for-profit businesses, and can find potential donors, volunteers, and partners through networking on platforms like LinkedIn etc.  We try to network on many levels but not a member of a business group.

But I can’t help feeling there’s now a closed door to my local business’ because if the very active networks and because we’re not charity members attending  events.  Mainly we’ve blamed this on being run by part time staff (max 1.5 full time equivalent) time and resources (which is true)
