Ethics of accepting donations from people who have been drinking alcohol

Events

Natasha Mills Senior Fundraiser at My Sisters' House Posted 3 years ago

My charity is attending an event coming up in August at a lady's day at a race course, which we're the chosen charity for and we have a stand etc. We'll be giving out flip flops too for when the day gets later and heels are hurting.
However, obviously being a race day, the people attending will be drinking alcohol. What are the ethics of accepting donations when you know the majority of people will have been drinking? Is it just a case of gauging each person and if they seem a little too inebriated, not accepting? How do you say no?!
