Buumo Integrated Organisation (BIO) is located in Kerekerene village Katira Sub-County, Budaka District Eastern Uganda, we are known as pearl of Africa, we experience wet season between (March-September) where we receive heavy rain, in dry season (October-February) Our Climate support varieties of farming in Crop like coffee, Tea, Cocco, Cotton, Soy beans, Beans, Maize (Cons), Banana it do well, in Animal Live stock, Goats, Sheep, Poultry, and aquaculture etc. In addition to this geographical condition, hydrological and meteorological issues such as floods, drought, intense and continuous rainfall, etc. are responsible for the damage of embankment. As result, 0.8% of the country's area is affected by droughts especially Northern part of the country (Up country) experiences much drought almost every year. Embankments provide protection and support livelihoods and communication development. Embankments are vital to protect the people their assets from such Drought disasters. The construction of earthen embankment. Bio has been conducted in the less expensive form to protect properties from such disaster However, the constructed earthen embankment failed every year in many places. Frequent renovation are required and they need a huge amount of cost annually to purchase Agricultural tools. Concerning the above situation, Buumo Integrated Organisation (BIO), authorised to address such situations to introduce Centre for craft and skilling in the youth to maximise poverty in communities (hereinafter referred to as “BIO”) requested to provide the technical and cooperation on the “Capacity Development and Management for Sustainable Skilling Related developments ” in 2021 In response to the request, the BIO mobilised funds from the community for implementation of the Project in 2021.
