Event Cycle is a UK-based organisation that repurposes surplus event materials, which are no longer needed by the organisers, into physical donations for charities, community groups, social enterprises and schools, for free.
Events often generate a large amount of waste, including furnishings, gardening equipment, building materials, graphics, and props. Unfortunately, many of these items end up in landfill, contributing to environmental degradation. However, with Event Cycle, these items can find a new home in your community, benefitting not only the environment but those organisations and people in need too.
How can you get free things?
You can benefit from this initiative by signing up to request materials that your community needs. A list which can be updated and altered as your needs change. Event Cycle will then connect you to events nearby that have the items available, and you can receive them for free. This way, you can save money on purchasing materials new or second-hand, allowing funds to be spent on other resources.
