I am on the management committee of a small health-related charity which was founded by some of its present trustees many years ago. The trustees are now advanced in years, in poor health, and take no active part in the charity other than one of them producing the annual accounts. There is minimal contact between them and the management committee. Despite their poor health and age they will not even consider the recruitment of any new trustees. Also, the charity's premises are legally owned by two of the trustees, and they will not consider making any provision for what will happen to the premises in the event of their deaths. Has anyone experienced this sort of problem and found a way through it?
