Please see my post below:
My Dad used to tell me my name means Iron Man Son of Fat Duncan. A lot to live up to.
Recently, I’ve faced setbacks and challenges to reaching superhero or a clan warrior status. I have tried different suits, masks, even war paint. I have sought advice from my tribe, marvelled at others progression and reflected regularly on the stark realities of job search, applications and interviews. Rejection builds resilience and I know I can rekindle my fighting spirit. I have the scars to prove success and winning habits developed through courage.
Yes, this is another one of those posts about trying to find, not just a job, but a career, passion, vocation with meaning. I am hoping that by dropping my shield, reaching out to the assembled that far from this being the end game a new chapter is being written.
I’m being made redundant, again, at the end of year. I’m looking for ideas, opportunities, a new clan, like-minded warriors.
I have a great deal to offer. A wide range of transferable skills, operational management and leadership experience having built teams and programmes to deliver positive change and learning across diverse and challenging environments.
I would love to hear from anyone looking for their next superhero or chieftain.
I'd be interested in any direct responses but also on the tone and nature of this type of blog.
Should I be more specific about type of role, locations, salary expectations, etc.?
Any suggestions on content, style?
I'm thinking of putting it on Linked-in, good idea? Any other forums?
