Sorry everyone I feel the need to vent a little.
As a proud Northerner, well Brummie who has been living in Manchester since 1991, I find the lack of national support for charities outside London is getting worse.
NPC, NCSC, etc. all run great events, exhibitions that are free but lots of charities cannot make use of due to distance and time constraints.
There are some fantastic venues outside of London that I imagine are also cheaper!
The North is getting left behind by the mainstream government and seems to be getting a similar treatment from the charity support sector. The charities here are under an increasing burden due to cuts and need the support more than ever to survive and flourish.
