Hey all,

I am Harvi and I am looking to start a career in the Third Sector I am particularly interested in Corporate Fundraising. I come from a sales background but am seeking a more challenge and fulfilling career.

I just was looking for a bit of advice, I am doing a lot of research as well as applying for some volunteering experience in the field to start. Just had a few questions.  

1)      I am considering doing the Certificate in Fundraising with the Institute of Fundraising to early for me to consider doing this course as currently I hold no experience in Corporate fundraising? And If so what would be a better form of training as I would like to learn the basics of fundraising as well as having something to show on my CV.

 

2)      What advice would you give to someone starting out working in the third sector particularly Corporate Fundraising

 

3)      Any other advice in searching for a Job or voluntary role would be greatly appreciated!
