Hi,
Really interested to know if anyone is in a similar boat to ourselves, and looking to borrow some ideas from those that are.
Our charity operates an "Anti-Gambling" fundraising policy, in recognition that gambling is having a really negative impact on our society.  So we don't use fundraising techniques that rely on any form of gambling, which rules out a lot of the obvious fundraising things like raffles, tombolas, lotteries, race nights, etc, etc.
In particular I am looking for ideas from anyone for ways we can utilise some of the prize items we have had donated to the charity.  People, assuming that we do raffles, have donated giant soft toys, expensive whisky bottles, beautiful ornaments and giftware.  We don't want to simply "sell" the items, as we are sure there must be a more effective way to make a reasonable amount of cash out of these kind of items, but we can't think beyond the obvious gambling games.
I would really appreciate your suggestions for our fundraising team to pursue.  TIA.
