Hi,
We have recently reviewed our contract of employment and I had proposed included reference to short-term working and lay offs. We introduced this into some contracts after COVID. Before we roll this out to all contracts, the leadership team has asked me if this is something common across the charity sector.
Do you have these clauses in your contract of employment? If not, is it something you would consider introducing? 
I attended a CIPD webinar recently about reviewing contracts and HR documentation and the speaker was strongly encouraging attendees to consider having the clauses. With so much uncertainty in the world today and extraordinary events seemingly becoming the norm, I wonder if it is an opportune moment to include the clauses.....
Would be interested in your thoughts.
