Hello everyone, I've been away for a while convalescing but all is good now and I've used that considerable time away to study the UN SDGs in depth and how they can aid fundraising and covid recovery.

I'm aware that the devolved adminstrations in Wales and Scotland place considerable emphasis on these goals, enshrining them within the Well-being of Future Generations Act and the National Performance Framework respectively. My understanding is that using this knowledge when applying to the larger bodies, such as for National Lottery funding, is often compulsory to qualify for further stages.

My question is what can charities based mainly in England do with this knowledge? Are the SDGs mostly used for projects outside of the UK, often focusing on climate change challenges? If there are any forum members from Northern Irish charities here, I'd love to know your thoughts too to complete the UK picture, particularly if your charity supports causes throughout the entire island of Ireland.

My own focus on the SDGs comes from addressing health inequalities in society, and researching its root causes which are often entrenched and will probably not be resolved until long after 2030, when the UN is expected to commence a further 15 year plan after the SDGs which followed the MDGs.
