Access to academic publications - easiest way for a charity to do this?

Hello,
I'm one of the trustees of Make Space for Girls - we're a tiny charity (two volunteers, two more trustees) but a lot of what we do is research based.
Is there a way for a charity to get access to academic publications cheaply / for free? Might a university be able to help us or is there another way?
