Advice re. chartered accountants

CharityConnect: Advice re. chartered accountants
Good morning Charity Connect members,
Does anyone work with ‘restricted funds’ ?
We are a small charity currently delivering two EU projects and for which we need to produce accounts by an 'Independent Examiner’? We have been told, by a rather expensive accountant, that since the restricted funds and turnover exceeds £150K, we must have the accounts examined by an independent examiner. We currently pay for the annual accounts, plus independent report fees on top of that. All done by the same firm.
Does anyone know where we could find an experienced, but reasonable chartered accountant that specialises in charities?
We would very much welcome any information/advice on this.
Wishing the Charity Connect community a great weekend!
