Hello all

I have 2 Qs from the Founder of the business for our new Corporate Foundation charity (they are a sole trader business)...

1. As a Corporate Foundation charity to register, does the founding business that set up the charity send off the CC application OR does the new charity send off the application?

2. If the charity is set up as a Copr Fdn, ( I understand that the charity has to run independently to the business) BUT in terms of legal responsibility, does the founding business have any legal responsibility, for example if the charity has breached GDPR or health and safety, and is sued due to not following its legal responsibility? Is the charity solely responsible or will the founding business bear any responsibility at all?

Any answers to these 2 queries would be most helpful.
