I wanted to share some thoughts after seeing @Lorraine's post about using donation buttons on social media, particularly on TikTok. I noticed a comment mentioning that it can be quite difficult to become an approved charity on TikTok to access these functions.
It got me thinking... Are social media platforms gatekeeping certain features? Have you found it particularly hard to access more advanced functions on certain platforms? I'd love to hear your experiences—what platform have you found to be the most supportive for smaller charities?
If you have any advice for smaller charities or those just starting out, please share your suggestions in the comments—I know I could definitely use a tip or two!
