Hi folks,
I'm currently on the look out for office space that maybe available for charities that rely on 100% Business Rates Relief
In December the building we were previously in had a change of freehold. Effectively new owners served notice to all occupants (business and charities alike) as they are planning to turn into flats.  Currently have lots of media, broadcasting and admin equipment in 2 x 150 sq ft storage (Safestore). Our 2 months discount runs out at the end of the month so I've been calling round commercial agents and the like to see if any listings they had were compatible with with our needs.
Has anyone been through a similar thing? If so, is there a database or site where it lists available properties in London that are within the 100% relief parameters? Or was it purely a case of manually ringing around.
I've been on calls and sent emails to commercial agents and having discussion with estate agents trying to see if they know of any landlords that may have plans to refurish their building in18-24 months time and are struggling to get businesses to move in for a short lease.
Typically, what happens these sort of arrangements lend themselves very nicely to charities who can benefit from 100% business rates relief, meaning only pay the usage and potentially a share of the service charge. Its proving quite unfruitful.
Any assistance or advice, no matter how small would be great.
Have a great day
