Can you still be a registered charity is you don't receive above 5k every year?

Hi!
I run an organisation for hospitalised children, the past few years we have been unregistered due to raising less than 5k per annum. The past year we have grown quite a bit and I am focusing on the organisation much more, and I am looking into registering as a charity. The past year we have raised close to 5k and I believe and hope the next year or so we will go above this as we continue to expand, however I was wondering what happens if you do not receive 5k or above every single year? Can you still be registered as a charity?
The Internet is a little confusing with this all so thought I would ask on here!
Thanks 😊
