I am confused and therefore seeking help and clarification. We are a start up organisation who wish to become a charity. We have amended the Charity Commission's Constitution of a CIO ( foundation model) and we as Trustees have signed up to it.
My understanding is that we now have to open a bank a/c before we can apply to the Charity Commission to become a Charity and get a registration number.
Asking the Co-op Bank to open an a/c they state we need the Charity Registration number first.
"Catch 22" I fear.
Can anybody help please.
