I wonder if anyone could advise on this topic?
We have contact details for the families/carers of people we support. They are not held centrally or on any database, simply within the service user’s file.
Can we legitimately collate these email addresses and use them for a mailchimp mailing? It wouldn’t be a marketing email, just a plea for specific practical help. There would obviously be an unsubscribe link in the email.
The alternative would be to email individually directly from an admin account.
