Coronavirus- what are you doing?

General Discussion

I thought it might be useful to start a thread where people could share what their organisations are doing around Coronavirus and offer support to each other around how to handle these uncertain times.
In addition, we know that Coronavirus poses a particular risk to people with underlying health conditions (something we are acutely aware of at MDUK) but I am aware there are other marginalised and vulnerable groups in society who are also at greater risk. Are there charities or initiatives out there doing work to offer support to people in this situation? If so, please share how people can get involved or offer support.
In terms of what we are doing as a charity so far...
  • We worked with clinicians to produce guidance on our website for our community.
  • We have cancelled meetings and events in March (such as peer support groups) as we felt the risks were too high.
  • Hand washing notices and lots of antibacterial dispensers and wipes (of course). I Will Survive is my new hand washing jam thanks to Gloria Gaynor's brilliant video!
  • Any staff who could be at an increased risk have been supported to work from home.
  • We are trialling all staff working from home so that we can be prepared for changes in Government guidance.
Please share what you are doing below or ask any questions you might have- it is times like this where a community like CharityConnect can be a powerful tool.
