I’ve been in my employment for 2 months now as a corporate fundraising manager which I’m really enjoying. One corporate company that is in my region has raised a fantastic amount of money for the charity I work for but have all ready decided they may not continue to support the charity next year mainly because they feel like they have asked their employees, friends and family etc to sponsor them so much already. I am going to meet with them on Monday to show them others ways they can support the charity without having to ask for sponsoring money. I feel like the person that I have taken over from did not support them very well and want to make it clear that I will support them. I’d really appreciate some help on the best way of approaching them and different ideas on fundraising, has anyone been in this situation? I really don’t want to look like to my employer that I’ve fell at the first hurdle! Thank you
