Cost implications of installing disability access in charity office

Trusts & Grants

Natalie Melling Executive Governance Officer at Project 6 Posted 1 year ago

Hi,
We are looking to move into a new premises soon and would like to install disability access to a 2-level property with a capacity of 25 -30 staff. Looking to figure out the best options financially and operationally. There is a lift shaft present, and we would only need capacity for 1 person at a time.
Has anyone else looked into this before, what are the options (platform lifts, passenger lifts, stair lifts), and are there any additional costs involved i.e., maintenance, certifications, insurance? Who are the best companies to approach? Are there any grants available for charities wanting to provide disability access.
Any info at all, would really be appreciated!!
