Hi,

I work for Free UK Genealogy, we're a small charity that uses crowdsourced transcriptions to provide free access to family history records. We rely too heavily on banner advertising (our websites are visited very frequently and for a long time) to cover running costs and the board has concerns for our resilience; we could do SO much more to encourage donations, and I've been tasked with this. I'm not qualified or trained in fundraising, but I know my org well. Our subject matter isn't clearly emotive and our service users/audience is older, retired people. 

I'm looking for donation request 'messages' I can use in our communications. Are there any relevant articles, blog posts, templates you've come across? Or do you have any documents you can share with me?
