Hi everyone,
We have a few businesses who have kindly displayed donation pots on their counters for us. Our team are all remote and we don't have a central working base. Some supporters of ours have identified businesses local to them who are willing to display donation pots, but we have no charity staff members close enough to collect, count, and bank funds. Currently, only the Trustees will count and bank funds raised in this way. We have one pot which is collected by a volunteer and delivered to the nearest Trustee, with the seal intact, to count and bank.

I'm keen to know how other charities navigate their donation pot collections, and the staff involved in this. Also, whether there are any controls we can put in place to allow others to collect pots on our behalf. Our only idea at the moment is for the business/a supporter to collect and mail the entire pot, with seal, to a Trustee. Our concern with this is the expense for reimbursing postage costs, and the risk of funds going missing in the post system, as the contents will be an unknown sum.
