Finding an illustrator (without agency fees)

We are trying to find an illustrator to illustrate our new resilience programme for 10-12 year olds. We have a fixed budget and need about 8 illustrations in a very simple graphic icon style aimed at young people. Not cutesy child-like drawings. Thanks for any advice on where to find someone without going through agency fees. (we are a children's mental health charity). Www.partnershipforchildren.org.uk
