I'm a committee member at a community centre which has held no meetings for at least 20 months. I've asked the Chair to organise a committee meeting but was asked what was the point because there's nothing new to discuss. I've also asked the Chair to call an AGM but was told that the reason for these not happening (for at least 5 years to my knowledge) is because nobody ever bothers to turn up.

The community centre is a registered charity and it is my understanding that these meetings must be called and I have said so. When I've asked to see the Constitution, I've been denied. 

Would someone please give me guidance with regard to this. The chair is becoming quite nasty with me, in public I might add and I would like a little more knowledge so that I might  tackle the Chair without losing my temper.
